ABSTRACT
The Brondong Fishing Port serves as a critical hub for capture fisheries activities in Lamongan, East Java. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of port facilities and analyze user satisfaction with these facilities. A quantitative descriptive approach was applied, utilizing Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to 45 respondents, including fishermen, fish processing unit (UPI) managers, and port officers with at least five years of operational experience at the port. The results revealed a significant decrease in the number of unloading vessels from 10,744 in 2018 to 7,714 in 2022 which affected the utilization rate of port infrastructure. The facility assessment revealed that 90% of the 30 evaluated facilities were in good condition, while 3% were damaged and 7% were severely damaged. The average satisfaction scores for basic, functional, and supporting facilities were 4.0, 3.4, and 3.7, respectively, compared to expectation scores of 3.9, 3.5, and 3.6. A negative gap was identified in several functional facilities, including the old fish auction hall (TPI), the PPDI building, and the waste treatment system (IPAL), indicating underperformance. These findings emphasize the need for targeted improvements and regular maintenance to enhance service quality and sustain the port’s competitiveness.
